BEIJING, April 22 (TMTPOST) — Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus rolled out its budget phone line, the Ace series, on Friday at an online launch conference.
The Ace series starts from only 2,499 yuan.
At the launch conference, OnePlus China’s president Li Jie also announced that OnePlus will make use of OPPO’s resources and focus on consumers that value device performance with its number series and Ace series. Li said that the number series will continue to be OnePlus’s high-end flagship series, which focuses on high performance and premium experience. The newly launched Ace series, on the other hand, is positioned as a product line that offers decent performance and great gaming experience to users.
The company will also accelerate its offline expansion and seek to build over 5,000 offline experience points in the country, covering 2,800 counties and 4,000 core business areas.
“Regardless what kind of products we are doing, OnePlus will continue to stick to our principle of Never Settle,” Li said.
OnePlus Ace adopts a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max SoC and comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone has a triple rear camera system that includes a main 50MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 16MP front camera for video calls and selfies. The phone also supports HyperBoost, which allows users to enjoy smoother gaming experience. OnePlus Ace has a 4,500mAh battery that supports the brand’s 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. There phone runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.
OnePlus Ace starts from 2,499 yuan. It will be available for purchase at 10:00 am on April 26.
